Charmaine

Her solo work is a color-blind test. I am quite immersed in it because I want to know how well my visual sense is. I felt it like doing the body check in my high school, but this time is digitally. The pictures there are not easy to identify the figures, so I need to spend a few time on find out the correct answer. It is good to make some challenges there to test our sensations so that we would fell better when finish the test. One thing that can be improve is to add a timer or scoreboard to record every participants spending time.

Ming

I’ve seen Ming’s second solo work, that was a football game but controlled by capturing players’ head movements, This time he still concentrates on making football game, but changes non-tactile control into tactile, by using game handles. One attractive thing of this project is it is versus game, which is rare in all of the works. This is also the first work I’ve played by using trigger outside the keyboard, I learned how to make connection with Max and the handle there through his patcher. It is easily operated with only compete in penalties, so that even player doesn’t understand football roles like me can play it.

Chi Kay

Chi Kay’s work is similar to the sensation game in Melbourne museum. It is a card matching game, I have spend a long time play with it in the excursion, as well as in Chi Kay’s work. I am addicted to this kind of game in my spare time so it is my favorite work, easy play but interesting. The interface is simple but I think red background is a little stimulating, change to a soft background color might let player concentrate a longer period. A further challenge point compare to the museum one is that Chi Kay randomize the keys as the triggers to each card, which is harder to memorize. It is good to make deep interactions.
