A Start To Writing: shot list draft (linear story)

MS, low angle – boy spins girl in the air (in a hug)

CU – his hands pressed tightly against her as they spin past

MS – he puts her down, awkwardly. She stumbles a bit, gains balance

CU/POV – her smiling up at him

CU – reaching for his hand, squeezing

MS – he smiles back at her, they begin to walk. He begins to swing their arms between them

CU – he looks from her out forwards, smiling

LS – them approaching intersection

MS/CU – pressing pedestrian crossing button

CU – him looking to her, happy, then off to the side

CU – she looks anxious, biting lip?

MS – both of them centred, she pulls her hand out of his to get her phone from her bag/pocket and begins to type something

CU – she looks up from her phone, then to him

POV – he is walking off to a roped off bit of cement

LS/MS, low angle – him walking towards cement, crouching down in front of it. He looks back to her.

CU – she shrugs it off and gives her attention back to her phone, then glances up anxiously

MS, low angle – he turns back to the cement and smiles

LS/MS, from behind – he looks around for someone watching him

MS, low angle  – he reaches forward

POV – he digs finger into cement and begins to draw their initials

MS – she looks over to him, then forwards. Bouncing on her heels, looks impatient/worried

POV – finishes their initials, drawn in a love heart

MS/CU – he looks over to her and goes to beckon her over

LS – she isn’t there, empty shot of intersection

MS – he looks around for her, and stands up slowly

LS – he stands beside the roped off cement and stares
