After last week’s 1.5 days of shooting, we finally wrapped on our second day of shooting our short film. Our second full day of shooting was forced to be rescheduled to this Monday, while it was certainly preferable to finish all of our shooting within a week we unfortunately couldn’t’ secure a time that was convenient for all involved cast and crew, although our new day was definitely achieved with compromise as I had to take time off work to complete our shoot. We had significantly less scenes and shots to complete this time around which resulted in us having a relatively late start to the shooting day and a slightly later finish but still somewhat comparable to last week’s finish. Overall I felt it was conducted quite smoothly. I found it particularly great how quickly we were able to get straight in to shooting this time around, with minimal interference and a relatively quick and easy set-up when compared to our previous day of shooting. Our last few shots were admittedly somewhat compromised as a result of time restraints as well as fatigue, despite a mostly smooth shoot we were running exactly on time for almost the whole duration of it, as to avoid an overtime finish we decided to cut our losses and not reshoot some scenes that perhaps could’ve been conducted better.
