Reflection 2

In the second week, I learned more specific about the exposure. Such as volume light, it can be likened to a range of lights. If in a picture, we can see which part of the character is in the light and use this to determine how much area a person has in the light. Another I remember that is ISO. The level of ISO determines the sensitivity of the camera to light. If the value is high, the camera will be more sensitive to light. However, high values affect the presentation of the picture, so it is usually set at a lower and suitable value. On Thursday, I and my team members took a video to acknowledge the depth of field. Before that, I didn’t know much about depth of field. I only noticed a little when I took the photo. I found that the greatest depth of field, the more blurred the object is when aiming at the object to the shot. Actually, there are many factors that affect the depth of field. For example, focal length, the distance from the subject or lens aperture and also others factors. When shooting video, we also adjusted the size of the aperture. The distance between the objects felt how they affected the depth of field. In addition, I also observed through the video we shot to find out a shallower depth of field can show a clearer object or portrait. But it also depends on what kind of scene we want to express, as well as our theme and focus. I think the depth of field plays a very significant role in our shooting.
