In this class we viewed each others second project brief. I’m not sure that anyone really enjoyed having their work viewed. Seeing other people’s work definitely gave me a fresh perspective on ways of presenting my own identity.
In this class we also started thinking about sound recording for the PB3 interviews. We listened to an audio piece about a detective who specialises in infidelity. I really enjoyed the piece and it got me thinking about how to create/portray a story without images.
Then we were partnered and instructed to go outside and do some sound recording and interviewing around the campus. We were aiming to get clean sounds, in field sounds and atmosphere sounds. Then we were instructed to mix them together. I found I used mainly the clean sounds (recorded in a studio) and the atmosphere sounds mixed together, rather than the in field interviews which had too much uncontrollable background noise. We based the interview around a place we liked at RMIT campus.
