Picture That #9

A behind the scenes snap from last week’s shooting of Alive In Faith by Marc Salazar. The 3 day shoot was really enjoyable thanks to a cooperative and friendly crew. That’s me on the right being all movie-star like. Courtesy of my Instagram

Joystick Films – The RC Camera

In last week’s Networked Media symposium, the bulk of discussion surrounded databases. Having already touched on this in a previous post, as well as the topic being a little underwhelming at times, I’ve decided to delve into something else that was mentioned. In 8 years time we could have cars that drive themselves, and remote control camera’s. We will have…

The revolutionary early cinematic spectacles of George Melies, such as the 1902 A Trip to the Moon, possess mystery and effects intriguing to both adults and children. Even during the 1950s, when television was the primary medium for moulding public opinion, material was directed towards a large spectrum of…

‘sTrain’ – the movie

The challenge was simple:
Make a 3 minute film. Reflect to the themes of ‘Consequences’. No edits, no cuts, one take.
The filming process was a little tricky, as each attempt relied on the perfect timing with the train. So we devised a clever strategy; as soon as the flashing lights and warning sirens began – action! I always love being in front of the camera, and don’t mind a fancy suit if i may say so myself! It’s about time I give my RMIT course some praise. while my friends at other institutions are complaining about mind-numbing exams and their ongoing list of books to read, I’m creating projects like this one. Hopefully there are some more great ones to come. If not, then I suspect the filmmaker within will emerge and I shall create some gems without coursework in mind. If you’re reading this, I’ll post you VIP tickets when I’m on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
