Often we as media people see ourselves and our medium as separate fro the artistic community, however, in truth they are often one and the same.

Today I was lucky enough to be asked by a friend to visit her classes graphic design presentation and I was inspired. It had been so long since I had done graphic design and today I was reminded why I loved it so much. the display itself was of labels created by students to put on bottles, the brief was for an enhancement tonic, but the students could decide what that enhancement was.

They typography was beautiful and each presentation was so unique in the different bottles and label shapes, size and color. I walked out of there wanting to create animated ads for each and everyone of them. It has really inspired me, which, in the ramp up to assessment time I really needed.

So I suggest stopping study for half an hour and going to an art exhibition, you never know what might inspire you.
