WORK INSPIRES WORK

So, my absolute favourite ever director is Danny Boyle and my absolute favourite ever movie is Slumdog Millionaire. (Another absolute favourite ever director is Baz Luhrmann, just sayin’). I found this video on the making of Slumdog Millionaire.

What I find incredible about this film is that it is the product of a sequence of individuals being inspired by another’s work. There was a writer. They wrote a book. There was a screenwriter. They read the book. They wrote a script. There was a director. They read the script. They directed the film. Then there was an audience.

It’s extraordinary how one idea can be carried from person to person, being developed by each along the way. I find it fascinating to think how this film is the consequence of each person drawing from someone else and something else before them.

I’d like to know what prompted the writer to write the book.

Watch this genius at work right here :)
