Yes, That’s right
The best example of teamwork that I have ever been exposed to in my 19 years of existence exists within the Disney Channel original Movie “High School Musical”. Hear me out.
To sum it up the scholastic decathlon team and the basketball team (Think a modern take on the whole Montague and Capulet situation, except no one dies) coordinate themselves and devise a plan to ensure that our Romeo and Juliet can both attend their musical callback audition, the championship basketball game and the scholastic decathlon final. Oh and this was all happening concurrently. And guess what? It works seamlessly. Juliet and the decathlon team triumph, Romeo and his team win their game and somehow both of them make it to the audition and land the main roles in the school production. This 5-minute montage in the movie, contains all the elements of a seamless and productive team situation. We have a hierarchy structure; we have delegated tasks, organisation, coordinated meeting times, an even distribution of workload, a common goal and purpose, excellent communication, respect for other team members and a killer dance number in celebration of their great efforts. It’s a flawless operation, and they achieve the goals they set out to achieve, and the use of positive teamwork and collaborative skills makes it possible.
I aspire to be apart of such a well-matched and efficient team as the wildcats. I also envy their dance moves.
Why can’t we do that in every group assignment?
