This week a fire was lit under us when we had to deliver an informal report on where we were in the progress of our projects. It turned into a really productive headspace with people throwing around ideas and sparking class debates about relevant elements, helping groups to develop and/or cement their essay ideas. Sometimes I am left with thinking it’s better to work alone with the ideas process, that its easier and generates a better outcome, however the ideas that were thrown around during our little informal presentation were something my group hadn’t thought about, and have now decided to incorporate into the foundations of our essay. So yes, I throw my hands up in defeat and say I was wrong. It is definitely better when working on any media project for multiple perspectives and ideas to be encouraged, no one mind can think of everything, so you’ve got to borrow the powers of others from time to time. It’s better for the content in the long run.
