While a lot of shortcuts used in Premiere are the same as Final Cut Pro, there are a handfull of ones that have really come in us.
These Inlude:
C to enable the split cursor in order to trim scenes
V to enable the select cursor
CMD N to create a new sequence
S to snap the toggle to the timeline
