To summarise David Weinberger’s work, he is basically a brilliant speculative thinker who wrote the book ‘The Cluetrain Manifesto’ which more or less forecasted the dawning of the digital age in business and the effects it would have on selling to a market which was becoming increasingly more knowledgeable than the organization.

As Weinberger is such an amazing speculative thinker, we felt it wrong to conduct our imagined interview in the present reflecting on his past work, so we initially intended to venture back to 1999 just before ‘The Cluetrain Manifesto’ was released to question David about his visions for the future, all taking place at a press conference aimed at promoting David’s book. Jasmine however noted that this would then restrict us on talking about any of his work which then followed this timeframe. So we have landed on a new idea to interview David in the present similarly at a press conference promoting his latest book, whilst looking back at the accuracies of his past work and how it has come to past.

What does everyone think of our idea?
