My role, as part of our second show which will go to air on the 29th of May, is to manage social media for the program. Whilst I previously planned to write long form website articles which I could then link via the programs twitter, I have now realised this is not possible.

This means I have had to rethink the way I will approach social media over the next few days. 

I have now been tweeting small mini-profiles about each interviewee on the Twitter, in order to begin to garner hype around Monday’s show, I have also done the same with the feature. That way, followers are able to learn who the people are that we are interviewing, and begin to show interest in the program.

Moving forward, I need to make an active effort to including the “rwavRRR” hashtag in every tweet. It’s difficult with only 140 characters, but it is vital to provide a linking connection between each tweet.

Following this, my plan will be to link outside articles about each interviewee and the topic at hand, in order to provide followers with extra information they can access.
