Today in our Networked media workshop we had a quick discussion on the lecture and then we were given free time to try and discover our own blogs. I found this weeks class to be really beneficial. Besides from the obvious benefits of learning about our blogs, I had a great time meeting new peers and discussing not only their blogs, but their personal lives with them. I’ve been looking forward to creating connections like these at university and today I did feel like part of a community of media students. We were able to interact with our peers and help each other out. I had help creating widgets (which is something that I don’t think I would have ever figured out on my own) and we were able to compare our blogging efforts and concerns with the other people at our table. Jeremy also showed us how to create menus in our blog which I was super excited about! I’ve been trying to work that out for ages! Now I’m stuck trying to file my content under the specific menus… Back to work.
I really enjoy this class. I find it easy to click with the students and Jeremy and I look forward to coming each week.
