Week 5 – i

The untold story of how I missed this lecture is what I am about to describe with little words as possible, not because it is a long story… mostly because I cant be bothered typing . So take a seat if you haven’t already. It was just another cold morning in Melbourne nothing too unusual, Is what I thought until I was betrayed, deceived and even heart broken by the one thing I loved in this cruel world. The one time I needed them the most, they didn’t pull through for me…..how could my phone not play my alarm ‘ who let the dogs out’ to wake me up.

Anyways, back to the real world. By reading the week 5 lecture power point I was able to figure out the central topic for the lecture. And the thing which I found interesting was how it says there can only be one protagonist, why is that the case? Like there are plenty of films with dual protagonists for example, Lethal weapon , wedding crashes, sixth sense, Butch and Sundance and a lot of Rom Com’s ( I swear I don’t watch them alone with a tub of ice cream and tissues…). Another thing was how the protagonist never dies which also I found a bit weird, why should they never die? It worked in movies like, Titanic, The Departed, Blood diamond, 300,  Gladiator, Troy and all of these films in my opinion are great except for 300. I really like how when you break down the narrative process films become much more easier to read and understand why specific things in the plot happened.
