week 4-ii

Yeah.. being put into random groups with people you don’t really know or haven’t spoken to can sound bad, and the lecturer tried compensating for this idea by telling us “people work better when put into random groups”  but with thorough research – One google search which took less than a minute- I found out that there is no real evidence that shows people work better when put into randomised groups. But..stay with me for a minute, It did kind of help in a way and that way was it helped us as a collective to get to know each other and feel more comfortable in class. Because in future, the class will progress together and so we will need to start becoming closer and comfortable with each other if we want honest and good feedback on future projects.

Anyways it was great that we were able to get feedback on our self portrait video by both our peers and teacher, which helped me make small adjustments which just made my video just a tiny bit better. For example, I was told to extend the length of a shot because It was too short to show the significance of the shot. Another small problem was that my ending credits were too quick to read, so a recommended solution was to extend the ending credit title so it was more clear to read and understand. Last but not least, I was told to change the words I used for each shot as they did not correlate with the image. Once this was implemented, I was able to in my opinion polish up my video to an extent.
