Workshop Week 9

In this workshop we were introduced to the microphones that we were going to use throughout the next few weeks and had a class exercise to acquaint us with the new piece of equipment. We postponed the class screening of our PB3s until week 10.

Our PB4 groups were selected at the start of the workshop and then Liam introduced us to the piece of audio equipment that we were going to use for the next few weeks, the Zoom H2N. From there Arnel and I went out to get some field recordings to practice our newly aquatinted skills on the H2N. Our recordings were honestly pretty horrible as we were without the foam bit that goes over the microphone part of the H2N. Despite this we carried on and then the remainder of our group filled out the collaborative contract and discussed what we were going ideas about our project and what references we were going search.

I personally found the collaborative contract exceptionally redundant as it is never going to be used past this week and the odds of one of our group members admitting that they are never going to any work is slim to none.

So far we are thinking on doing an informative piece on hyper attention and different types of attention but I am going to try and coerce the group into choosing a more creative style for our audio presentation.
