bloodthirsty wedding guests when a reception party goes horrifyingly wrong.
NEWLYDEADS is a black comedy horror flick about zombies taking over a wedding. In this darkly funny, blood-soaked love letter to the horror genre, wedding cake isn’t the only thing on the menu. Writing NEWLYDEADS was no easy feat – it had real bite! It’s the first time I’ve ever written a treatment before, and it was a daunting challenge. This venture has given me a new appreciation for the effort and passion that screenwriters put into their work, and the process of crafting this plot has taught me a lot about pacing, storytelling and balancing character with action. Even though it was difficult at times, I also genuinely loved the process and had so much fun bringing my ideas out of my mind and onto the page. If NEWLYDEADS was a real movie, I’m certain I would love it, and that’s what matters most to me.
