Brother is a psychological thriller with a wholesome familial twist.
This story represents my first ever foray into writing a film treatment. The opportunity to create an original story line for film was a chance at creative freedom- but it also created a sense of heightened pressure (at least in comparison to a writers’ room experience). Whether it was regarding the coherence of the plot, or the creation of heartfelt and lifelike characters, I found myself at a loss multiple times whilst writing. But, as with all things, we keep moving, and I soon realised that writing scenes around a difficult sequence allowed the correct pieces to fall into place. The invaluable learning process of creating this treatment has taught me how to convert my visual thoughts and ideas into industry-appropriate prose.
