BENCH

This short film tells the story of the internet celebrity Amy, who, under the dual pressure of heavy work and the potential exposure of her true identity by fans, seeks relaxation on a park bench. After hastily leaving, Amy fails to realise that she left her phone on the bench and mistakenly accuses passerby Sophie of being a fan threatening to expose her, leading to a misunderstanding.

In this studio, I not only learned how to analyse scripts from a more professional director’s perspective but also gained insights into auditioning and rehearsing from a director’s point of view. During the production process, I had the opportunity to personally write scripts, delve into script analysis, auditions, and rehearsals, gradually accumulating practical experience. This period of learning has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of filmmaking and strengthened my confidence in the role of a director. Directorial performance has not only given me valuable directing experience but also contributed to shaping my perspectives and skills in the field of filmmaking. It has been a rich journey that exceeded my expectations.
