Radio Show – Room With A View

 

On Tuesday the 19th of April, Connor Rodgers, Angus Kilgour and Jack Holland hosted an hour long program on Triple R called “Room With A View.”

The boys were joined by Paralympic gold medalist Tim ‘Disko’ Disken, AFL media superstar Caden Mcdonald and up and coming Melbourne singer songwriter Jade Alice.

The show also features a mix of international and local artists and music.

Our group was extremely pleased with the final outcome of the radio show, we each worked collaboratively with each other and used each others strengths to great advantage. Through this we were able to overcome our biggest obstacle in the timeframe we had to complete the show. However we are ultimately happy with the outcome.

Radio Feature – Lights Out

 

Grief is not an emotion we often talk about, we are not told what to expect or even how to try and deal with grief. But why is that? It is a feeling that ultimately each and everyone of us will come across in some form of throughout our lives, so why do we not talk about it more? Bianca Becker is out to change that, born through the loss of her mother and brother, her initiative  “Lights Out” is a tool that helps people not only process grief but also plan so that the feeling of grief is not compounded when it occurs. We spoke to Bianca about her story and what she hopes can come out of “Lights Out”.

 

We were extremely grateful that Bianca was more than happy to share her story with us and wanted to ensure her that we would treat the story with the upmost respect and care. We once again worked collaboratively throughout this process which allowed us to overcome the setbacks we faced in scheduling and time restraints.
