Acting has maintained an aura of mystique and elitism over the course of history. This video essay researches the components of what makes a good actor, whilst questioning the answers found.

The process of creating this video essay was eye opening due to the subject of acting being such a divisive subject within the media industry. I aimed to inform audiences of a wide demographic through the utilisation of various eras of film and acting performance. In an attempt to not bombard my viewership with information, I tried to ease the learnings of my research whilst maintaining a hesitancy in what I had learnt due to the topic being indicative of various biases.

In terms of the presentation of the video, each clip flowed with the next through subtle or obvious continuing editing causing for the clips to connect to ensure an aesthetic flow.
