Antiquarians

All across Victoria, enigmatic shopkeepers have discovered a way to immortalize history. Past and present collide as glistening, beveled glass, rusty, metal machinery, and dusty, faded books find their way into the ever-growing collections of antique stores. These for-profit museums dispersed in both rural and urban towns are run by characters who, like their antique gems, hold stories that have yet to be discovered. Featuring photographs and interviews accompanied by written pieces, ‘Antiquarians’ is an audio-visual documentation that digs deeper into the world of antique stores, their revival within urban communities, and the eccentric personalities that run them.
