”Lost in Mel”

Synopsis:”Lost in Mel” is a stream-of-consciousness film full of emotional performances. The film reflects on the relationship between the video project and real life struggles. It expresses what it was like to study in Melbourne during COVID-19. Integrating reality into the film and making it resonate with the audience is what this film is all about. A tribute to Wong Kar Wai’s slow motion techniques that I learned and emulated in the film.

 

 

Making this short film was the first time I had worked with a team to produce a film. It wasn’t a very smooth process, but our team still did a great job. During this time I was able to expand my technical and collaborative skills and exploring genres was a fun and rewarding creative experience.
