Synopsis:
A nasty dark cloud looms over media student Celyren Phipps, threatening her dreams of becoming a film maker. Along with the entire world, this student filmmaker’s life is instantly altered by the Covid-19 pandemic. Determined to continue learning and creating content, Celyren pushes on, navigating remote collaboration, restricted access to equipment and the psychological impacts confinement has on her creative condition. ‘MAKING MOVIES’ is a mini self-portrait series made up of 4×2 minute episodes for online consumption. The series addresses the new era of media making we have abruptly entered, and the role experimentation undertaken by media students which is revolutionising content creation.
