Twenty-one-year-old Krisha Pardillo is faced with the sudden COVID-19 pandemic which severely affects her self-employed and independent calligraphy business. Living in her West Melbourne home, she struggles to keep up with her day-to-day expenses due to her abrupt loss in profits, clients and overall income. Krisha holds onto all her passion for calligraphy to drive her to combat this outbreak. She perseveres to adapt to her new norm and constantly thinks about what her Grandmother would have done if she were here today. SUPPORT YOUR LOCALS is a short documentary (4 minutes) that shows the struggle of small business owners during a global pandemic and highlights the urgent need for Australians to support their locals whenever possible.
