This studio is a collaboration with a leading Australian social media analysis company, Sensis, who produce the Yellow Social Media Report (Links to an external site.). Over the past seven years this report has provided rich data about how consumers and businesses are currently engaging with social media. We’ve learnt from many RMIT Media graduates of the importance of developing skills across social media research and media making. This is a chance for students to hone existing skills and develop new ones in social media making in collaboration with an industry partner.
Our exploration of the potential and implications of contemporary digital media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and YouTube has proceeded through the making of video, photography, copywriting and podcasts.
