The Last Report addresses the environmental crisis by tackling the facts and claims surrounding Adani, the Indian mining company, who are operating in Australia’s Galilee Basin. Through innovative, futuristic devices, somewhat solutions are found.

We were inspired by comedy news presenters such as Shaun Mcauliffe and Rachel Parris from the Mash Report.

The issue of the Adani mine has been prominent in public discussions and as we researched it, we discovered how layered and complex the issue is. While it was easy for us to be against it, during the process we found that those who support it have their own struggles and concerns that are equally valid and also important consider. Consequently, we wanted to highlight a lot of the absurdities around the Adani mine to demonstrate that there are ways forward without constructing a mine and to encourage audiences to want to try and seek an alternative that would pacify and solve problems on both sides of the argument.
