Some musicians speak of the process of writing and producing music being therapeutic, helping them overcome struggles with mental health. But is replacing more traditional therapies with music making a good idea? ‘Depression, in d minor’ explores the relationship between music and mental health, exploring the minds and processes of two Melbourne musicians; Babyccino and KidKami. This experimental documentary explores how making music can be cathartic, while also looking at how music can be a way of making the discussion of mental health easier despite the stigma present in Australia.
