I use photography to capture the moments in life, as cliche as that sounds. Growing up, my parents would always take photos of my relatives and I during family events, holidays or just mundane activities. I’m glad they took them because I get to look back at the moments. Sure, you could pull a stupid face or your hair is a mess but that’s what makes photography great because you’ll have a laugh about it in the future when you reminisce about the past.  Photography is an important element of our day-to-day lives. For an artist, it’s used to capture his/her conception of the world around them. For normal people, it’s a way to capture precious memories with family & friends. Regardless of its purpose, the outcome is still the same for amateurs and professionals which is to look back at the moments.  These past 12 weeks in the studio through several weekly exercises and different themes for the modules, my knowledge about photography has grown and expanded from just the basics, especially since I came into this studio with zero to no experience in photography and editing using Photoshop & Lightroom. My perception of photography has changed and I will use the skills I learnt in the future.
