Cameo Pollock-Turner

I use photography in many different forms of pleasure and work. I use it to push my vision of how I view the world and other people, I use it to capture something for other people to see, and I also use it to keep the memories that will last longer through photography.

How I see the world through photography important to me, as everyone’s visual flare is different. How I may visualise a topic may differ in someone else’s point of view and it is important to capture these moments, compare, reflect and ask questions.

Capturing an image of something I want other people to see is valuable in terms of documentary photography. I use photography for this genre to act as a visual database for others, and inform them about topics they may not be or have the opportunity to become familiar with.

Finally, I use photography to make memories of the people important to me last longer, as well as experiences I may never have again. I use this photography to connect with other people, again sharing experiences and reflecting on good or bad times that only get fainter in my mind, but as alive as ever in a visual.
