Soviet montage is a method that involves plenty of editing. Sergei Eisenstein noted that ‘montage is the nerve of cinema. And to solve the problems of cinema, the nature of montage needs to be determined firstly. Lots of filmmakers made explanation about montage, for instance, montage comes from the conflicts between two individual shots, the shots is not next to each other, but on top of the other.
