Blanchet, Robert, and Horst Tellioglu. “Soviet Montage.” Cinetexts: Film and Philosophy. 5 Nov. 1998. Web. 23 Mar. 2016.

In this text, Blanchet and Tellioglu give a brief explanation of Soviet Montage. They explain montage as being French for assembly and give insight in linking the two 1917 revolutions in Russia to the development of the Soviet Montage movement, as well as unpacking the theories of Eisenstein’s ‘Strike’ (1925). This piece mostly refers to previously attained research, but is good for additional background information.
