  1. This is an article aims to explain the five types montage concluded by Eisenstein, which are metric, rhythmic, tonal, overtonal, and intellectual montage. It starts with some personal opinions on the so-called digital revolution and then quickly goes to the definitions of the five montages. Basically, the author uses a relatively understandable language to introduce these terms and also at the end of the article offers two examples to help us to get the ideas. There is no creative content in the article, but I do think it is helpful for me because it makes the academic stuff easier to read and so I can quickly have a basic idea then read Eisenstein’s book again with some questions.
