This is a student-shared webpage where a number of the most commonly used editing techniques are explained with videos clips examples. These students have done a great job of concluding and orgnizing various kinds of different editing techniques. Genertally, four basic relationship between shots are mentioned here: graphic, rhythmic, spatial and/or temporal. In each of these major types, there are also different ways of using it which is flexible to create a certain effect for a certain situation. It is also a great opportunity for us to jump out from the theorotic stuff and see how Eisenstein and other directors actually affect the way we cuting a film.
