  1. This article talks about what is parallel film editing and how is parallel editing obtained. The article gives an example to explain what is parallel film editing and indicates two types of parallel film editing. The first one is that two different situations are shown to audiences alternately, the second one is that two related situations are alternated in a similar location. The article also mentioned the action of the shot and how audiences react to that action. Most film takes contain action and reaction within the length of the shot. Furthermore, in order to cover a story point, parallel film editing can be done through two ways: single shots of short duration or long master shots.
This article is useful to my research. My research is about montage, and Parallel film editing can be considered as one kind of montage.
