As the role of conveying event structure in narrative film, the continuity editing successfully helps director to construct a clear and coherent event structure, and make audience can understand the depiction of the events in film. In addition, the 180° system is pretty significant for continuity editing. Continuity of action is largely maintained by having an action start in one shot and continue in the shot following the cut.
