  1. This article serves as somewhat of a testimonial to the creativity, importance and power that a film editor holds, noting that their hard work can often be lost in the sea of praise given to leading cast members and directors. Whilst this all appears true and understandable, this article seems to be tarnished by a bias point of view.

The editorial also notes that this ‘under-the-radar-job’ is part of the nature of the film editor, as it is often argued that editing as an art-form is it’s best when invisible. The approach taken here is; the better you edit, the less the audience notice the editing, the better the result. Whilst there would appear to be merit in this idea, it seems to be quite a big generalisation to make and the author doesn’t offer an alternative to this claim.
