  1. This piece by David Bordwell examines the history of film style and speaks about the film makers that fell in love with film after World War One. The author gives an example of where the camera how the camera was first used to capture “everyday incidents” (page 13) and then to “fantasy films” (page 13) by George Mehes, by stopping and starting whilst moving around the setting and people. Bordwell uses comprehensive language to tell this story, moving on to talk about different types of editing and shots.
