The Workshop Before Submission [W]

A phenomenon of, the class before each project’s submission, would always be less discussion on lecture, and working on our own assignment with having the chance of asking our tutor questions, no matter this Media 1 class or my Sound Design elective, which I hadn’t experienced before when I was studying Multimedia in Hong Kong…

Luckily, we had an opportunity of letting our tutor review and provide comments on our work before the date of submitting them (and luckily we had a 3 day extension on it 🙂 ), even I had been an hour behindhand to class since slept late, still got the chance of showing my rough work to friends and Brian to receiving opinions.

The rough cut, that would be a long way different to my final one this time, as Brian’s suggestions on

Sweeping the opening and the ending,

Using different background music to emphasise the changing on topic,

Telling your viewers that it’s an interview documentary by having more interviewing scenes, and

Replacing failure moment shots with static interviewing scenes

And my friends’ opinions on

Music’s duration, and

Cutting shots according to the music’s rhythm

Regarding the benefit on the deadline extension, I guess the greatest one would be giving us more sleeping time as its the submission of both our short film and the 3 posts this week, with the fine tuning on our second ‘self’ series video and what we had missed on each week’s blog post. The next advantage would be releasing our stresses, that accompanied by the PB3 in these few weeks, for me, surfing newest videos from my subscribed YouTube channels and watching a few episodes of one of my favourite TV series: The Agent of Shield.
