In this week’s reading, I have learned how important advertisement is and how crucial it is for advertisement to be more conveniently used and spread the social media. Nowadays, as the internet and the social networks have been highly advanced and increased to a high level, it is unavoidable for advertisement to take a large portion in the market of showing people the products or people or whatever they want to show through the spread of these advertisements. However, there is one part that needs to be considered and that is the crucial point to make the advertisement better enough than the others so as to be distinguished.

In order to stand out from so many other advertisements, there are several ways to be considered to improve the possibilities and to increase the odds. It is about the products itself, that is for sure, but it is also very certainly to be with the promotion methods and market strategies.

In the media world, it is about the subjects and the communication ways. The subject means the product itself and the spokesman of the product. Famous people with a popular fame and large amount of fans would surely be a huge benefit for the products to have a good sell as this is called the celebrity effect. Hence, if the poster and the advertisement of the famous star was shown in the street or in the public, it is very likely that the products he or she speaks for could be purchased by these fans. In this way, the stars are actually the best tool to attract consumers and convince them to buy things.  This is also called the marketing strategy because the stars have moved the trends and the market into his or her side. But one thing to be sure, it really depends on how famous and popular this star is and how willingly his or her fans would do to follow her or him.

In this week’s reading, I have learned about how to feel the sound effect. There are so many sounds all around us, no matter they are in the real life or in the media that we are watching. In most of the time, people can sense the feeling and emotions of other people by the sound they have made, depending on the sound levels and facial looks. However, there are sometimes that sounds are used to judge a situation and a scene in a movie or in a song or in other media sources. If this kind of situation happened, it is best for people to judge from the sound effect.

Sound effect is the way for any media producers to utilize to create a sense of feeling and a scene of special meanings. The sound effect could make people feel scared and feel intense if the sound effect were made rapid and pressing. The sound effect could also make people feel at ease and feel comfortable if they are playing a peaceful melody.

Words are not the only way to express the feelings and emotions of the characters as this could also be done by the well-played of the sound effect. Sound effect is the background music of the scenes and it not only shadows the creepy or the scary atmosphere of the scenes, but also could attract the audiences more and make them more attentively and more nervous. This could be best used in horror movies or mysterious ones.

Sound effects could bring about emotions and from what I have read, it is the best way to bring about others’ emotions and also make the movies or other media to a higher level. It could be said that without the best utilize of sound effects, some great works would not be so great.
