Currently I am in the editing stages of Project Brief 3. I spent 7 hours last week hanging out with my subject across Melbourne. I interviewed him in a friends home, we cooked lunch together, we went for a walk in the park to get cutaways, and then he took me to a warehouse to film some abstract character footage.
Overall I have 50 minutes of footage, which is a lot. I am planning on using audio from the interview where he talks about his creative process and collaboration. I also want to focus on the idea of movement, which he discusses in the interview. This will allow me to use the footage from the warehouse where he improvises a dance with one of our friends, as well as found footage. I will be looking for found footage of dancers, rivers, airplanes, and old commercials with people in their homes.
I am very excited to be sharing this project with the world. Nic is a fab guy.
