IM Symposium #9
0May 5, 2014 by sharona
- tangibility
- language and how it relates to art
- hypertext
- lots of modes for storytelling
- grammar and its importance?
- language is grammatical, image making is not
- who cares about grammar???
- don’t sell widgets, widgets are DEAD
- sell expertise
- popcorn is a media making thing
- no permanence on web…
- obviously specific to hosting etc
- everyone knows how hard it is to kill things once they make their way onto the internet?
- “The Internet’s not written in pencil…it’s written in ink.”
- maybe lists aren’t infinite but still
- taxonomies
- quickening of a heart
- we could list infinite things
- ending a list is pragmatic
- infinities
- everything has to end
(I am going for a looser, more associative type of note-taking for this symposium. This is partly because I was eating a banana and therefore was typing with one hand for a few minutes. And also because it seems fitting.)
