The role of media is to grab our attention, and in a place such as Melbourne Central, where hundreds of people pass through everyday, the opportunity to advertise and promote media is massive. We saw media everywhere from our journey to and inside the station, there was not a place you could look without seeing media throughout the entire centre.

I found that a lot of the media we saw was designed to sway our way of thinking, such as food advertising just before entering the food court in a bid to persuade you to buy that product before even considering the other options, and using technology as large scale TV screens to attract the eye with movement.
