Week ten of the semester. Everything is happening. If everything is not happening, everything is being planned to happen. It’s a very busy and stressful time, but exciting nonetheless.

In the Good Form studio, all the comedy web series’ are well on their way in the pre-production and production stages of work. There is lots of filming happening, finalising of scripts, releasing of trailers, social media start ups, initial edits in the basement-cave-of-computers (the edit suites) – you name it.

Working on the Shriekers team, most of pre-production has been sorted and filming is about to commence. Last week we had our first cast meet-up and promo shoot. This was incredibly fun, and was exciting to see our comedic characters come to life. This week however, our team focused our time on using this promo shoot footage to create another trailer, and create character posters to publish online.  (please excuse the thumb)

On Monday of this week, the Media half of the Shriekers team, presented to the Media and Creative Writing classes with our WIP Report. Having little to show in terms of shot footage, we presented all of our pre-production workings, in which we received some great positive feedback, and a couple of constructive criticisms. We were told our social media presence and ‘branding’ of the show had been conducted quite well – our image being highly notable and recognisable if seen on Facebook. Matt was commended for his contribution of self-made music and score to feature on the show – adding as much self-made material as possible to the series, and taking advantage of his own creative talents. And finally, our cast promo shoot material was met with enthusiasm, and was noted that once released, would further add excitement to the future release of our series. Overall, mostly good things were said about the working progress of Shriekers. One thing we do need to focus on, is role delegation; ensuring that each member of the team focuses on a part to play, and performs that role fully.

Safe to say week ten has been a productive week in the Good Form studio, with only a couple more to go until the releasing of all the comedy web series!
