HERE ARE THE 5 BLOG POSTS THAT I BELIEVE BEST REFLECT ON MY EXPERIENCE OF THE MEDIA 1 COURSE

Week 2 Connection // Noticing Media

This connection entry was one of my first, and I think this is the one that truly sparked my initiative to take the Media 1 subject’s content, and apply it to the outside world. Although it is more of a stream of consciousness rather than an application to other media-related artefacts, I think it demonstrates a further understanding and willingness to think about media as a wider concept in the world.

Week 4 Lectorial // Blood in the Gutter

I chose this blog, as I believe it to be one where I reflected on both a reading and a lectorial fluently and informatively, having really enjoyed both of these contributions to the Media 1 course.

Week 7 Workshop // Project Brief #3

This blog post was selected as it truly reflects on one my most exciting times during the first semester of university. I had presented my third Project Brief, that received really good feedback from my peers, and was introduced to my group (Yield’s Tin Llama, with Tim and Dan) for Project Brief #4 – which was a major highlight in all senses, for this subject.

Week 8 Workshop // Project Brief #4: Brainstorming Sesh

Again, this blog post focuses on a pre-production stage of PB#4. But I feel as though this post encapsulated my excitement working in a team to create a new media artefact.

Week 11 Lectorial // This is the Remix

Week 11’s lectorial was one of the most upbeat and interesting, entering the glorious world of remixes. It was a fun lectorial to participate in and highlights the reason why I am interested in the media field – good times, some laughs, but also having deeper looks into understanding media artefacts and their original, or not so original, histories.
