So you thought it was over…. Film/TV1 Analysis/reflection THE END Question one

Q1: Please write constructive comments/reviews of the films you saw. It can be just just those you loved the most or intrigued you the most.

MILK. Milk was by far one of my favourites. Looking back, there wouldn’t be much I could fault it on, or comment on alternative ways of constructing it.
It had humour, and a clever twist. My favourite part of this film would have had to have been the scene in which our main character was seemingly speeding down the street on a stolen scooter (the ‘bogans’ chasing after him were brilliant FYI), until the camera zooms out and a runner passes by him since he his going about as fast a turtle. The shots, dialogue and especially music was brilliant. The title at the beginning ( partnered with the opening shot was clever and enticing ) and I absolutely loved it.

BUDGERIGAR. Budgerigar was another one that caught my eye. My favourite part of this film was the scene in which the brother and the girls date were sitting opposite one another when the date is loosing his mind. It was very clever in which the scene was cut to and out of – fitting perfectly. I loved the way in which the feel of insanity was created – the lighting, music, make-up and casting (the acting was very well played out). My only suggestion for this would have been to have found a way to shorten it – it was a touch long and possibly the addition of adding the definition of “Budgerigar” at the end of the film when the films title was shown – it is such a clever concept, however the audience may have been confused to what the title actually meant (and it is such a strength of the film – tying the storyline together). A very clever film with brilliant technical aspects such as camera angles – Loved it!
