So you thought it was over…. Film/TV1 Analysis/reflection THE END Question Two

Q2: “In 200 words or less please outline your goals, desires – what you want to get out of this semester. You will review this later in the course. Many will rethink this dramatically by the end of the course – this is a good thing.”
Please reflect on how you feel about the course. What surprised you, what excited you, what disappointed you. What we could have done better. What you could have done better.

At the start of this semester I stated that through the completion of this semester I hoped to “outline more clearly where I want this course to take me to. I want to discover what my talent is within this quite broad course. I feel as though that if I can do this, I will be able to start strategising ways to get to that specific point.”
I guess the million dollar question here is; did I achieve this? Honestly? No. I still think I’m in absolutely the same boat as I was at the start of the semester. That is not to say I didn’t enjoy some parts of this semester – there were things that I over doing and would like to look into further and develop. Of course, there were some section I absolutely despised. So while I haven’t been able to 100% pin point what I want to do with my life, this course has been able to spark my interest in particular areas, while highlight areas I know I should stay away from.
About the course. I know it’s hard – and i’m not even sure if there is one- but it would have been absolutely fantastic to have been provided a text book or books. While the readings were of course helpful, like in all my courses, I find being given snippets of articles very hard to situate myself in and follow (not being provided context before and after).
In some areas, I found that we were just thrown into, without given adequate instruction. I know it’s a very trial and error type of course – being in it’s creativeness and all – however it was very easy to feel lost and confused.
