This week I watched the Netflix show ‘GirlBoss’, after already reading the book written by Sophia Amoruso, it gave me even more of an insight into the life of the girl who made it big by selling jacket on Ebay. I guess her whole outlook on life makes me feel safe and comfortable that you can get anywhere or achieve anything based on drive and the will to make things happen. From a girl who was pretty much living on the streets, to someone who owns and runs a fashion empire its pretty inspiring to see what an individual can do, further the whole fact that she is a girl and never let the anyone treat her differently because she was a woman trying to make it big in what she refers to as a ‘mans world’. All in all i was happy with the series i think it captured the essence of what Sophia was like, although maybe more fictional than the real story as the show is dramatized i do believe that the core values that the author and real life girlboss was trying to achieve was very present in the show making it a series that all youngsters should watch so that they to can be inspired to achieve their own ambitions.
