The biggest difference with starting a semester of uni in 3rd year compared to past years is the amount of stress emergency cigarettes needed has declined and the amount of exitement in upcoming coursework has increased! It’s been a very pleasant first week and my first impressions of my 3 courses: Room With A View, Features & Storytelling and even Social Applications of Communication: A Political Economy of the Workplace are very positive!

We played around with the recorders in groups; interviewed each other and recording rounds of The Subject Game in the Room With A View (Radio) studio before exploring Adobe Audition in the editing suites. In Social Applications of Comm… I considered but rejected (for now) a proposed challenge of a screen-free week. In Features & Storytelling I wrote my first ever draft of my own obituary. Morbid and challenging but sort of fun trying to cram my 21 years, loves and fears in 200 words intended to be read to my loved ones. Keep it coming 2016.
